Bob McAdoo

By: beej 134,466 points  report  9 votes

Drafted in the first round of the 1972 NBA Draft by the Buffalo Braves (now the Los Angeles Clippers), McAdoo soon became one of the NBA's premier players. McAdoo won the 1973 NBA Rookie of the Year Award in his first season, and earned the first of three consecutive NBA scoring titles in only his second season. His 2nd season (1973-74) remains the last time an NBA player has averaged both 30.0 points per game and 15.0 rebounds per game over the course of a season. McAdoo also led the NBA in field goal percentage in 1973-74, shooting 54.7 percent. That year he enjoyed his first (of five) All-Star selection. In 1974-75 he was awarded the NBA Most Valuable Player Award, averaging 34.5 points, 14.1 rebounds and 2.12 blocks per game, while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 80.5 percent from the free throw line. He also led the league in fan voting for the 1975 All-Star Game with 98,235 votes. (Wikipedia)

Elton Brand

By: beej 134,466 points  report  7 votes

In Los Angeles, Brand became the first Clipper since Danny Manning (in 1994) to be selected to the All-Star team in 2002. In the 2006, he posted career-highs in points per game (24.7) and field-goal percentage (52.7), while leading the Clippers to a 47-35 record, good enough for the sixth seed in the Western Conference. In February 2006, Brand was selected to the 2006 NBA All-Star Game as a reserve forward for the West. On May 1, Brand helped lead the team to its first playoff series win since 1976, when the team was known as the Buffalo Braves. (Wikipedia)

Adrian Dantley

By: beej 134,466 points  report  6 votes

Dantley was drafted sixth overall by the Buffalo Braves in the 1976 NBA draft. He became the third Buffalo player in five years to receive the NBA Rookie of the Year Award when he won it after the 1977 season. Dantley remains the only Rookie of the Year in any major sport to be traded after his rookie year. (Wikipedia)

Blake Griffin

The #1 pick of the 2009 draft, Griffin may already be well on his way to becoming one of the Clipper greats...having not even stepped on the court yet.

Danny Manning

By: beej 134,466 points  report  7 votes

Manning was drafted with the first overall pick by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 1988 NBA Draft and spent more than a decade in the league. During his NBA Career, Manning scored 12,367 points and averaged 14.0 points per game. He played only 26 games as a rookie after a torn anterior cruciate ligament required him to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery, but returned for the 1989-1990 season. His most productive NBA season was 1992-1993, when he averaged 22.8 points a game and was selected to play in the All-Star Game. He was also selected as an All-Star the following season. (Wikipedia)
