Wiffleball is a game using most of baseball's rules, only of course with a light-weight plastic bat and an air-resistant, hollow ball.

Pros: All the glamor of baseball (sliding home, strike outs, double plays) without any of the real skill involved.

Cons: Some baseball rule knowledge still required.

500 is an activity (usually with a football) where a thrower hurls a football into a crowd of people, calling out a point level. If someone catches it, they get that many points and everyone tries to get up to 500 to be the thrower.

Pros: Pretty easy to understand.

Cons: All jumping for the ball at once can result in some bumps and falls. Oh, and addition.

Ultimate Frisbee

While I realize many people view ultimate as a true-blue sport (and it is played as such by many) it still can be easily played as a pick-up game.

Pros: Non-contact sport doesn't scare off those afraid of injury.
Cons: Sometimes people take it a little too intensely.

A simple game with a basketball. If you make a shot, the other person has to make the same shot, or they gain a letter. If you get to 'horse' you lose.

Pros: Way easy.
Cons: Basketball players always win.

Simple game in which you toss two soft golf balls tied to rope on to a three rung ladder.

AKA 'frolfing,' you shoot a frisbee into a pre-determined area, or hit something.

Pros: Easy.
Cons: For true frolf, a pre-made course is necessary.
