Shoes are to be worn with socks in or outside. Sandals are to be worn with out socks and can also be worn in or outside. Crocs, however, are a shoe that is confused about what it is. With its odd texture, holes in the shoe, and extreme comfort, this seems like the perfect working person shoe. Not a wise fashion choice in the least.

For years fashion designers have struggled with how to dress up a simple outfit. Well, after neck scarves, hats, and other accessories, fashion high belts have come to the rescue. Maybe not the worst fad, but certainly the one that has the most varied effect on the wearer.

Ugg boots often have a synthetic sole, although this is not universal. Uggs are popular with the teenage set, worn by girls with mini skirts, leggings, and with jeans tucked into the boots.

A good ole spike or chunk heel is a great thing. This addiction to wedge heels just screams women who aren't comfortable enough in heels to wear the real thing, or a college student who wants everyone to know they are newly into the business world. Get a pair of half inch heels and you will be fine.

Jewelry has always had its place in the world. The Egyptians, Romans, and British were huge fans. America was found because Columbus was looking for more jewels. However, this trend towards large jewelry with something simply can come across as trying much to hard. Please, before you wear huge necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, ask yourself: Could I go smaller?

Jeans are about the most American article of clothing there can be. However, skinny jeans scream of a European import that we are squandering. These jeans are designed to be worn by...people. Not by people looking to make themselves look smaller than they are. That just looks bad and shameful. skinny

Gigantic hand bags

Bags or purses are meant to hold the essentials for the day, plus maybe water or a camera. This recent craze towards owning the bags big enough to put a small child in is odd and silly. What are you carrying around? Guns? Babies? Groceries? Unfortunately those practical purposes are rarely embraced. Let's not be afraid of purses, and instead just carry less crap around.

Ballet flats

The thinking behind this fashion style is logical. What don't people like? Ballet. What else don't people like? Not having a simple shoe to wear with jeans, dresses, and in all seasons that is simple and yet dressy. Tada! The ballet flat is as much a comfort issue as it is a fad, which makes me think it will be with us for a while.
